Out side the norm today and not talking about Chili recipes here. Instead i just wanted to comment on the fact that this year the Supper Bowl game itself was better than the commercials. I heard that from several people this year. Its about time that that happened because the i know i have always looked more to the commercials than the game for entertainment factor. But don’t forget that the chili recipe bowl is coming up soon.

It’s that time again and we are two days for supper bowl Sunday and we all know what that means. Its chili time and we don’t want to be cooking on Sunday so get it going now. I always make my Supper Bowl Sunday chili recipe two days ahead. That way i can refrigerate it and let the grease come to the top and get hard. I remove that and its ready to reheat on game day. So break out those special chili recipes and get to cooking.

It’s cold out side and on Chrismas day with all of the other things going on i don’t want to have to cook. So this year i made a big batch of chili. Yea i know sound weak but the kids will beoutside playing in the snow and when they come in i want to give them something hot to warm them up. Chili is good and hot and nuturious if you do it right. Simple and always a crowd pleaser Chili is now going to be a holiday tradition. I may have to come up with some additional chili recipes to cover this time of year.

Well who would of thought to have chili on Turkey day? Well my friend of course. It went well with a deep fried turkey surprisingly. It was not a big bold heavy chili but instead it was lite and spice. It added a kick to the other traditional sides that come with turkey day.
All in all The Turkey day meal was a great success with a wide assortment of dishes that ranged from healthy to heavy. With lots of leftovers to feed the gang for weeks to come.
